Kevin Skinner is the season four champion of 'America's Got Talent'

Music has been a part of Kevin Skinner’s life since he was 12 years old — when he was given his first guitar by his musician father, Joe.

Early in his career, Kevin released music videos under the alias of Spongebob Squarepants.  He was also a member of his brother Rodney’s band Bikini Bottom.

Prior to competing on “America’s Got Talent,” the Graves County High School graduate worked as a chicken catcher at Pilgrim’s Pride poultry factory.

“My heart was pounding, almost to the point that I thought it was going to come out of my chest,” Skinner said after winning the $1 million prize.

“I had never experienced anything like that and probably never will again, I would say, that dramatic. It’s the greatest feeling. I’m 35, so I have been chasing the dream for a while, and it hasn’t come true. It’s more than words can explain.”

Kevin is married and has two children, a boy and a girl.
