Sharon Osbourne says she isn’t quitting AMERICA’S GOT TALENT — she simply hasn’t been asked to return for next season.

“I don’t know if they are going to pick me up,” she told us today during a quick interview in Los Angeles.

“They picked up Howard (Stern).  They haven’t picked up me.  So you just go with the flow.  (In this business) we have all been let go or our contracts not picked up.  We are all big people.  You pick yourself up and you dust yourself off and you go out the door.”

Sharon, 60, has been a fixture on AGT since season two.  But she admits, “six years is a long time to be on any show.”

Last week, Sharon caught fans, producers and NBC execs off guard when she tweeted that she wouldn’t be returning in 2013.

“My darling @HowardStern, money is not the reason I’m not returning to @nbcagt, it’s because…” she announced, leaving many to assume she was quitting to spend more time with her family and co-hosting THE TALK on CBS.

“All I said was I wasn’t leaving the show because of money,” she clarifies.  ”That is not why I did anything, for money.  And I just didn’t like the fact that it got out that it was because of money.  It’s not because of money.”

Sharon — who rose to fame managing her husband, Ozzy, insists she is fine with whatever happens.

“What I tell my husband and it is what I tell my children is ‘Enjoy your five minutes,’” she says.  ”‘It comes to all of us.  They pull the rug on you.  There is a younger, prettier, smarter (person) right behind you so enjoy it.’

“I am a very blessed person.  I am.  And the thing is I have got to the age now that if they all pull the rug on me… F–k, I am 60 years-old now!  I have had a great life, thank you very much.  I will go back to just doing my music business and thank everyone.”
