Professor Splash may need a life preserver.
The judges seemed less than impressed Tuesday night by the aquatic daredevil – an act they’ve championed all season long.
For his semi-final routine, The Professor (real name: Darren Taylor) dove from seven stories high into an 8 foot pool of water.
Impressive? Certainly. But not as cool as belly flopping into one foot of water, the panel concluded.
After the show Sharon Osbourne proclaimed him a “one trick pony”, while Piers Morgan told us: “I think even he knows that jumping into 12 inches of water is very, very different from what he did tonight. He knows that probably we have seen his best. Compare someone like Anna Gracemen who gave his best performance tonight to Splash who gave probably his weakest. Can he win? I don’t think so.”
