Landau Eugene Murphy Jr. is already hard at work on his debut CD.
The “America’s Got Talent” season six champ has been holed up at Wire Road Studios in Houston with super-producer Steve Tyrell – the Grammy winner who most recently produced and engineered Rod Stewart’s “Great American Songbook” CDs.
Landau’s still untitled disc – due out before Thanksgiving — will include all five tunes he performed on “AGT”, according to a report on CultureMap.com. On Thursday (09/29), he recorded vocals for “Something Stupid,” a 1967 chart-topper for Frank Sinatra and daughter Nancy.
LeAnn Rimes is in discussions to collaborate on the song.
“The dream is really coming true, I’m really living in it right now,” Landau says. “I’ve got great people around me that are helping me follow my dreams.”
