It was back to Atlanta for Episode 6, where the judges may have found their strangest act of the year. But did they also find a possible winner?
Here’s a few of the highlights:
Anna Graceman (Singer, 11) She’s a little girl with a big set of pipes! Born and raised in Juneau, Alaska, Anna has been writing and performing since she was 4. Could she be this year’s Jackie Evancho? (Learn more about Anna here)
Captain & Maybelle: In a word: shocking. This guy can swallow a sword and use it to pick up cinder blocks! Of course not all of the judges were impressed.
Joseph Ravens (Performance artist, 43 ) What exactly was this act about? Dude covers himself in some kind of flesh colored rubber and pops giant bags out through a bright red hole? It would have been fun to see him confront the judges, but he simply walked off stage without saying a word.
Armond & Angelina (Singers, 50 & 48 ) They’re engaged and in love. That’s about all this duo had going for them as they tackled — and shredded — a rock opera version Celene Dion’s “My Heart Will Go On.” “That was pure cheese, but I am addicted to cheese,” Sharon said before casting the tie-breaking vote to send them through to Vegas.
Attack Dance Crew (Dance Squad, 19 – 25) The group of Florida college students caused a dispute between the judges. “The music and the dance looked like a cheerleading team,” Howie said, while Piers insisted: “There is no way we are sending these guys home.” He was right. Sharon saved the day.
Also heading to Vegas: Afro-drag queen Hershae Chocolatte, 6 year-old DJ Face, The Summertime Skippers jumpropers, and bluesgrass band The Fiddleheads.
Not as lucky: Mr. Shake It Up, “North Carolina Howler” Kevin Jasper
