20 year-old Shevonne Philidor is a contestant on season 6 of 'America's Got Talent'

20 year-old Shevonne was rejected twice by ‘AGT’ and four times by ‘American Idol’ before landing a spot in front of the judges in Houston last spring.
Then she was quickly eliminated during Vegas Week, after only appearing on screen for a mere few seconds.
Now Shevonne is back as one of this year’s wild-card acts with a look and sound that could make her a dark horse to win the whole contest.
Here’s what we know about her so far:
Shevonne made her TV debut in 2004 on “America’s Most Talented Kids”. She has since performed in the national tour of “Oz The Musical.”
Named 2008 Homecoming Queen at Blake High School, Shevonne currently works a retail job at Abercrombie & Fitch and performs regularly at Whiskey Joe’s Bar & Grill in Tampa with Lester Freeman and D Band.
