The first official “wild card” of season 7 has been handed out.  And it didn’t go to Andrew DeLeon.

(Oh for crying out loud, relax — he’ll get one!)

Wednesday night the judges were forced between this week’s fourth and fifth place vote getters, mind reader Eric Dittelman and male clogging group All That!

“I have to go along with my own instinct and I have to say to myself, ‘What would I go to see?’” judge Howie Mandel said.  ”If it was up to me — and it is — it is Dittelman!”

Howard Stern agreed:  ”Who would I go see?  The answer is Dittelman for me.”

And with that, the young magician joined sand artist Joe Castillo, earth harpist William Close and Olate Dogs who are all moving on to the semi-finals in three weeks.

But there was one more surprise.  As the show was getting ready to sign off, Sharon called for the floor and announced:  ”There is a wild cad show coming up and the judges get to pick who goes on.  My first pick, I want All That!”

That left seven acts going home empty handed.  They are:  Dave “The Bullet” Smith, Lindsay Norton, Ulysses, Unity In Motion, Sebastien El Charro, Eric & Olivia, and Horse, King of The Nut Shots.

The remaining wildcard acts will be announced when AMERICA’S GOT TALENT returns on August 14, after NBC coverage of the London Olympics.
