Tim Hockenberry‘s biggest cheerleader turned on him.
Howard Stern — though admitting that Tim is still his favorite musical act — said that Monday night’s performance “fell short” and “I don’t think you did a great job.”
Hockenberry, a raspy, Joe Cocker-like singer-pianist has been considered a front-runner in the competition since his first audition in San Francisco.
We think he still is. And so do judges Sharon Osbourne and Howie Mandel.
“You, sir, are…the possible winner for this year’s America’s Got Talent,” Howie praised after Hockenberry’s rendition of the current Katy Perry hit “Part of Me.” ”You are phenomenal.”
“You sing with such emotion,” Sharon added. “You pull people in with your emotion and passion. It has taken you time but you are here and you are definitely going to be staying on this show.”
We’ll find out for sure when the four acts advancing are announce live Wednesday night at 9:00 PM on NBC.
